Die Burg wurde 1313 von K\u00f6nig Erik Menved nach der Niederschlagung eines Bauernaufstandes in J\u00fctland erbaut und diente als Symbol der k\u00f6niglichen St\u00e4rke und als Mittel, um die rebellischen J\u00fctl\u00e4nder unter Kontrolle zu halten. <\/p><p>Besucher erreichen die Ruine \u00fcber einen 500 Meter langen gepflasterten Damm &#8211; D\u00e4nemarks \u00e4lteste mittelalterliche Stra\u00dfe &#8211; der die Halbinsel mit dem Festland verbindet. Die Gegend um die Ruine ist ideal zum Wandern, um die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft und die reiche Tierwelt zu genie\u00dfen.
