Feel yourself tremble when the sharks surround you, sail on icy waters in a kayak, and fall in love with the talented seals when they snatch herrings and learn alphabetic letters! Whether you prefer to keep your shoes dry as a bystander or dare to dive in the deep end with the sharks, then Kattegatcentret is ready with an ocean full of experiences both indoors and outdoors.

Our daily shark training in the tropical shark tank gives you an earnest insight into the fascinating sharks. The large rays dance and splash on the surface, while shark fins cut through the water and menacing sets of teeth flay flatfish out of the keeper’s hand. Stand up close and get water in your hair or see everything from the shark tunnel, where there are only 6 centimetres between you and the sharks!

A cosy corner and touch pools await the youngest inside, while one can splash, creep, and crawl outside among the large marine animals on our exciting water playground!

At Kattegatcentret you do much more than simply look through the glass. We have open aquariums with water splashing, smell, and sounds, and in the touch pools, you can “pet” a shark, play hide and seek with the flatfish and hold hands with starfish and crabs. You can also dive down and experience everything up close. More than 200 remarkable, colourful species of marine animals await to hold on to you forever. See you at Kattegatcentret!
