Holiday in Jutland

If you already live in Jutland, you know what I'm talking about. And if you don't, you will find out what I mean when you get back home from your holiday here. Whether you are here in the early spring, in the summer or in the beautiful Danish late summer, Jutland is an eat-all-you-can buffet of experiences. And in the middle of it all, Grenaa Strand Camping is located right next to the most beautiful white sandy beach, a perfect distance to countless adventures.

STAY AT GRENAA STRAND CAMPING - A STONE'S THROW FROM THE CITY OF AARHUS

When you stay with us, it takes less than an hour by car to, for example, the city of Aarhus. Visit exciting modern museums like Den Gamle By (The Old Town) or Moesgaard Museum, which takes you on a journey back in time through exhibitions that are adventurously different. If you are more into speed and physical experiences, shopping or exciting culinary experiences, Aarhus has it all.

Or enjoy the surrounding area and you can look forward to a wide range of choices, including well-known attractions such as Djurs Sommerland or Ree Park Safari (20 minutes by car). Here's our best suggestion:

• Also discover the more unknown ones like a ride on the mountain bike trail right next to the campsite or a thrilling walk around Ruggård Castle's lake (one of the more famous places in Denmark where witch persecutions took place, and many local women were subjected to witch tests in the lake by the castle).
• A bike ride to Høbjerg Farm Shop to buy freshly picked sweet strawberries or freshly dug potatoes for dinner is also not to be missed. And while you are out there, don't deprive yourself of a break in the café, where the day's homemade bread and cakes can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee or a glass of ice-cold lemonade.
• Then continue to Katholm Castle through the narrow fascinating Hulvej, where the old trees bear the mark of too large cars trying to squeeze through the narrow passage, past the castle and on the gravel road back to the campsite with no distracting cars to drown out the sound of larks soaring over the fields you pass. Is there anything that sounds more like Danish summer than lark song?

Back at the campsite, you can send the children up to the children's corner to take part in the day's activities. And now you can relax a bit before you start preparing dinner with the day's fresh vegetables from Høbjerg and maybe a nice tender steak from Den Stolte Slagter on the barbecue.
