Opening hours in the spring and autumn season – excluding public holidays and peak season in the period 28/3–14/9-2025.
*Outside reception opening hours, you can check in and out via a self-service terminal located outside, in front of the reception door. Here you will also receive a barrier card so you can drive into the campsite. Likewise, you can return the card in the terminal when you depart. *However, this is not possible for rental units such as cabins, apartments and rental caravans, where a key must be handed over.
*ACSI guests cannot check in via the terminal, as a meter is issued at reception for calculating electricity usage.

This applies only to the rental units.
Daily cleaning is always the responsibility of the renter.
Final cleaning can be ordered at reception or online. Cabins, rental caravans and the Luxury Apartment must always be left tidy. This means the bin and fridge must be emptied, dishes must be washed (and the dishwasher emptied if used) and all items must be placed back where they were on arrival. If there is a lot of rubbish/dirt on the floors, we expect them to be swept or vacuumed.
If the renter has used a grill by the cabin, it must also be left clean before check-out.
If you wish to do the cleaning yourself, the unit must be left in 100% proper condition. Grenaa Strand Camping must be able to approve the cleaning and tidying.
Dogs are very welcome at the campsite.
However, they must always be kept under control and on a lead. We also kindly ask that dogs are not left barking, so everyone shows respect and considers their neighbours and other guests on the campsite.
Please pick up after your dog and dispose of the bag in the waste container where it belongs. Dog bags can be provided at the Information desk.
Dogs are not allowed in the service buildings or in our Grenaa Cabins and rental caravans. They may also not be taken into the café/ice cream kiosk or the reception. Assistance dogs are an exception inside our service buildings, as they are considered an aid.
Walking your dog can take place anywhere on the campsite, as long as you respect other guests and the rules above.
See the price list for bringing a dog under “Prices”.
As a guest at Grenaa Strand Camping, you have free WiFi throughout the campsite.
Here you can read about using hotspots when you are a guest at Grenå Strand Camping.
We always recommend restarting your device before you log on to the network for the first time.
We offer hotspots throughout the campsite. However, as a guest you should expect that the wireless internet may be slower and less stable than usual during peak periods and in bad weather. Many factors affect internet speed and quality.
Trees: When the wireless signal has to pass through vegetation, the signal is weakened. When the leaves are wet, the signal is significantly weakened.
Regnvejr: Vand dæmper signalet og gør at netværket ikke er lige så hurtigt som i solskinsvejr.
Caravans: Guests will often find that the signal works outside the caravan in the awning, but not inside. This is because the signal is significantly weakened when it has to pass through the caravan – the same applies to cars and neighbouring caravans, which also “block” the signal. As a rule, the signal is much better outside the caravan, for example in the awning.
Arrangementer: Mange mennesker samlet på et meget lille areal, eksempelvis ved arrangementer på pladsen, kan betyde at der er stor belastning på de Hotspot punkter der er i det specifikke område.
In addition, the area is at times affected by strong military radar radiation, which can sometimes have a major negative impact on signal strength. However, this only occurs for short periods, and the network will normalise itself once the radiation has stopped.
When moving around the campsite with your smartphone, tablet or similar, some devices may seem to slow down or lose the connection entirely. Simply restart your device, and it will typically reconnect to the network. This is due to the devices’ behaviour/settings and not the internet quality.
As all these conditions are dynamic, you will find that the signal varies throughout the day.
During peak periods when there are many people on the campsite, e.g. in high season, you may unfortunately find that the connection is non-existent due to the heavy load on the network.
Quiet hours begin at 23:00.
This means that all guests must comply with this rule, and after 23:00 no loud music may be played, and there must be no partying or noise that prevents other campers from getting a good night’s sleep.
Of course, it’s perfectly fine to relax quietly on your own pitch in the awning, etc.
The barrier is closed from 23:00–7:00.
During this period, it is not possible to enter or exit through the barrier.
